I have this voltage regulator on a 1965 Citroën 2CV, replacing a points-type voltage regulator. The three-wire hook-up only required fabricating a short harness to adapt the Citroën harness to the BMW voltage regulator. Works perfectly.

Voltage Regulator VR1
Have not received product yet but offer this as the technical information that should have been provided in the description. This is a 6 Volt Negative Ground regulator as used in many GM applications. Equivalent to Delco 1118201, NAPA VR56 or Standard VR1. This is a very good price since I have just purchased one of the Standard VR1 units from my local NAPA store for $94. I do wish someone would take the time to put the most basic information in the description.
