This stuff saved me $4000.00 +
I bought an old Mercedes 124 to restore with my sons. i found that the car had an evaporator leak. These cars seem to be built around the evaporator and to replace it involves disassembly of the front of the car. The lowest quote I had was $4,000.00 to replace the evaporator and recharge the system. I figured i would try this stuff first. I followed the directions and almost 1 year later the AC still blows ice cold!

Didn't expect much, but it works like magic!
My 1994 Explorer had completely non-functional air conditioning. I replaced a rusted out line and blocked orifice tube, and the accumulator/drier. However, when I charged the system, it leaked down within 24 hours. I could hear a hissing, but was unable to find the leak. Three cans of ultraviolet dye later, I was still completely unable to figure out just where the leak was. Not knowing what part to replace, I had almost given up on fixing the A/C in my truck, and figured I'd give this Cliplight sealant a try - after spending so much on parts and cans of refrigerant, what did I have to lose? Even though my system was leaking down faster than what the Cliplight documentation said it could fix, I thought I'd give it a try anyway.When it arrived, I was unimpressed. How could this tiny little can of sealant possibly fix my system? Saved my car!
Like many owners of older vehicles that have converted to R-134 refrigerant, I found that the smaller molecule is harder to contain in an aging system. My freon recharges were lasting only 6-7 weeks, and the solution proposed by repair experts would have cost way more than my '92 Sable is worth. My seasoned Pep Boys shop manager was dubious about the chances of success for this product, having already seen the failed results of many different sealants. At the same time, he was glad to take my money to vacuum-pump my system for well over an hour in order to evacuate all the moisture -- this is critically important. Now I did not follow Cliplight's advice and replace the accumulator because my seasoned Pep Boys shop manager opined that boiling out all the moisture should be enough. (Not to mention that replacing the accumulator would have been an additional $175.) After recharging with R-134 and the Super Seal Pro, I added a step that wasn't included in the instructions: I...

This review covers the BLACK LABEL version of this popular brake bleeder. For the $15 extra dollars, you get a solid aluminum reservoir cap with a swivel fitting. The swivel fitting is worth the extra money alone. As others have mentioned in reviewing other versions of this product, without the swivel you must pre-twist the reservoir cap prior to screwing it on to the brake fluid reservoir top, which is a real pain if you choose the 'reservoir fill' method of brake bleeding. This device works whether you put fluid in its tank or just use it to pressurize a full reservoir.Usage of this device allows single handed bleeding as pressure applied to the reservoir allows fluid to flow through the brake system while you control the rate of flow at the caliper vent nipple (no brake petal pressure need be applied). So far the reservoir fitting has fit every reservoir I have used it on (mostly recent Mercedes Benz models).Not shown in the product pictures is a in-line coupling that...

Works well
I have tried hand pumps in the past with varying success (and invariably, a very tired hand). This works like a charm. Many who use it use a "dry technique" which is instead of filling the reservoir of the unit with brake fluid, just use it to create pressure and frequently check the master cylinder to make sure it has enough brake fluid in it (believe me, you'll be most unhappy if you let it run dry). This technique is simple and less messy as there is no fancy cleanup or risk of leaking brake fluid if you get a bad seal. I agree, the billet top is pretty cool. My only complaint is it is not the right size for my other cars so I can only use it on the one. Otherwise, if you bleed brakes on any regular basis, this is a life saver.

Little bleeder
Brake bleeding. What a pain. I hate having to call upon anyone to help me with anything. So for me, brake bleeding usually involves a lump of wood jammed against the brake pedal and the seat. You may know what that is like.I have tried one-way bleeders with varying success over the years but my Alfa Romeo has two bleed nipples on the rear calipers that need to be opened at the same time. One-way bleeders do not work.I had heard about the power bleeders that push fluid through the system like the Motive Products unit and vacuum systems that draw the fluid through such as the MityVac.Some research led me to the Motive Products Power Bleeder. The Black Label unit has the correct European cap for the master cylinder which was a significant feature.Why-oh-why did I not get one sooner?So easy. It just works. Add the fluid, pressurize the system open up the bleed nipples in the correct order. What could be simpler...

Great for working with my Mercedes vacuum system
I bought this vacuum pump to diagnose my 1982 Mercedes 300D's vacuum system. Door locks were not working right and the engine wouldn't shut off. This pump helped me repair the system, and again and again. Great tool.I also like all the hoses, adapters and attachments that come with it. I haven't met a vacuum tube on my Mercedes that I can't hook up to.

Very Versital kit
Great kit I have used it for the following, Adjusting the level of automatic transmission fluid after changes. Bleeding my brakes by myself, testing EGR valves and Vacuum lines on my cars. Drawing out oil that collected in my spark plug ports (Tauras SHO). Wished I had one of these years ago.

Mityvac Sliverline
This is a quality tool. It is constructed in die cast metal. It should be much more robust than plastic. The availability of re-build kits is a great feature. The only gripe is with the instruction manual. If clear large sized illustrations were paired with concise written instructions, it would be a major improvement over the current format. Currently the manual is printed in a hard to read fine print font. The information is vague and incomplete.
