Actually 190 Degrees, NOT 195 Degrees!
I love this thermostat - it is accurate and makes my car run like a champ. The only caveat is that I purchased it and was shipped a thermostat rated for 190 Degrees (it was printed on the box and engraved in the top of the thermostat). I set up the return through Amazon and explained the problem, assuming I had been shipped the wrong one by accident. The next one I received was exactly the same as the first thermostat (190 Degrees). I talked the issue through on the phone with an extremely helpful customer service rep. His conclusion was that this thermostat had been mis-listed on their site. I'm not sure what the change has been, since another review talks about it being a 195 Degree thermostat, but it seems unlikely to me that I received the exact same item twice in a row and that both were wrong. Other sites list the 13649 Thermostat as a 195 Degree thermostat but the actual manufacturer's site (Stant) lists it as a 190 Degree thermostat. Either way, turns out 190 was what was...

High Quality Part
This is a High Quality part. Not the cheap, "I hope it works" part for less money. I have seen this same thermostat sell for about $50.00. I tested the temperature opening rating prior to install, just to be sure it will work. I only want to do this one time. It opened perfectly, right at the proper temp of 195 degrees. It may cost a little more, but it is worth it not to have a hassle.
