Works great. Miles Per Gallon went from 39 in the cold, back up to my summertime 42-46. I am also under the impression even in the warmer months this will help my mileage.It also has my cabin temp comfortable in about 1 mile of travel, rather than the previous 5mi @ 65mph. I can't imagine a cold car running 65mph is too healthy, but I live right off the interstate.Make sure you follow the directions, and understand this heater works via convection rather than with an electric pump, so it matters how you mount it. FOLLOW the instructions.

great Product
Great product. Put it on a 1981 dodge D150 with a Slant 6 running 15w 40 oil and a four barrel carb. I plug it in once i get home from work and let it run all night. When i go out and start the motor in the morning, starts in two or less turns in the morning. Haven't noticed any change in the gas millage just yet. Great product. Might have to get one for the mustang.

While it's still early for a longevity review, I can tell you that overall this seems like a solid unit. Most of the time I use Kim HotStart for block heaters, but at 1/4th the price of a HotStart it seemed worthwhile to investigate further.The packaging is the standard, cheesy, blow-molded-need-a-knife-to-open type. Inside, you'll find: Instructions, the heater, a nice selection of clamps, a bypass fitting (nice touch), and a very inadequate mounting bracket.The heater itself feels substantial and rugged. The hose attachment fittings were grinded smooth and ready for hose installation. I use only silicon hose in these applications and the fittings seem to be made well enough to hang on to them. The bracket, however, should be tossed out when you open the package. It will not stand up to vibration and is of a very poor quality, which, is a shame considering the other positive aspects of the heater. My bracket broke in just one week.After nearly two...

The vent mount works fairly well and is as solid a mount as can be had with an automobile vent. The mechanism that traps the phone ratchets securely and disengages when the button on the side is actuated. It is useful for someone that changes phones or phone cases often because it is not form-factor dependent.

Works as advertised
I was a little pessimistic that a universal mount would work with my new iphone. I also did not think the side arms could really hold my iphone. But I was wrong! Once the phone is in place, you cannot remove it until you press the release button. Two minor quibbles that make this a 5-star product: the clips that go in the the car's vent don't quite hold on to it's place so it could rattle a bit and if you need to plug your iphone into your car charger, you need to plug it first before putting in the cradle.

super little heaters
I purchased several sizes/wattages of these hoping to find the right sizes for my snowblower and ATV engines. The trick is to find flat open spots on or near the bottom of the oil reservoir, clean it well, and stick the appropriate size of heater there. The instructions say DO NOT use gasoline or acetone to clean the spot, and you must believe it. The first one I put on I used acetone (I know - but it's all I had) to clean the spot, and the adhesive does not stick well. On the others I used mineral spirits, and they stick like glue. They stink a bit when heated, but that is going away with use. I also used a 50 watt one to keep a bird bath de-iced, and it worked perfectly down to 5 deg F. No thermostat, so a good idea is to just plug them in a few hours before you use the equipment, or put them on a timer. But, they don't seem to overheat if you put the appropriate wattage on the appropriate size of reservoir - and that's a guessing game. Five stars because they are...

Great Product for Starting Tractor in Cold Weather
This is a great product. I was having trouble getting my tractor to start in the cold MN winter. I bought this heater and stuck it to the bottom of the oil pan. I also bought the Katz battery warmer and wrapped the battery. From the day I installed them my tractor started like it was 80 degrees in the middle of summer. We had an extremly cold winter this year and my tractor started with no trouble everytime.

Heat the oil or thaw the outdoor Moose pond.
This works pretty well on the oil pan of my vehicle. It does not have a thermostat. It does need insulation on the back side so that it does not lose heat. I plug it in about 2 hours before I use the vehicle and it does the job of preheating. I also have one of these to keep our Moose pond thawed. The unit is submersible. So far the animals haven't eaten it. So you can use this item for a lot of things, but it has to be attached or submerged in something.It will overheat in the air, by itself. I rated it less than 5 stars because it is not insulated on one side and it does not have a thermostat.

however i stripped and cleaned all the components and resealed the solenoid assembly base with silicone grease, everything was very clean and no sign of deterioration at all, HOWEVER, and this is my question, everything was full of water, yes... Hello everyone, and especially parrot of doom, who i must congratulate on his very good sticky on the servicing of the duo valve. either way the valves now operate ok. i would love to know if the water is meant to be there, all be it this would not make sense to me. i have attached the link to parrot of dooms sticky.

EDIT:It’s pretty easy to check…if the hose leading up to the valve is hot from the coolant but the other side is cold because the coolant is not going through the valve (make sure the engine is warm and the heater is turned on first), the valve... also you need to check if the valve spins when you put the cold air on. Put the cold air conditioning and find the valve, watch if it starts spinning, if it does, then thats a good sign, you may only need to check the heat coming from the engine. Take a look at the heater valve located at the back of the engine bay, just ahead of the firewall.
