Short version:Among all fuel system cleaners I'm aware of, Redline SI-1 contains the highest quantity per dollar (based on manufacturer MSDS) of the critical fuel-system-cleaning compounds known as polyether amines (PEA). Primarily for this reason I believe SI-1 to be the best available and most cost-effective fuel system cleaner product at retail pricing. [...].In my case it has not been necessary to use Redline's recommended quantity of approximately 3 oz per fill-up. The effects of 1 oz per fill-up are indistinguishable in terms of tested results (see my basis for this statement below). Raised my gas mileage 3-4 points
My '06 Civic SI has about 40,000 miles on it. It had been getting around 22 mpg (mostly city driving) but even with long distance freeway driving (around 75mph) I'd only get about 23 mpg. I usually use Chevron or Shell gas. I also have used Techron fuel cleaner in the past with no results.So I used Red Line SI-1 a few tanks ago, and my gas mileage has increased to about 26 mpg for my last few tanks. Right now I'm at 318 miles on one tank of gas, and i have one bar left on my fuel gauge (it's digital). Prior to the Red Line the best I'd ever gotten was 312 on one tank of gas, and that was after driving the ENTIRE tank on the freeway, and driving 10 miles with no bars left on the fuel gauge. Typically I would get 250-270 miles on one tank.I'm stoked!I will admit that using this stuff ain't going to do anything to help you if your injectors aren't clogged... but if you suspect they are, this is the fuel cleaner to get!

I Trust It
I belong to an online forum of Colorado owners (coloradofans.com) and created a poll to see which fuel system cleaner the members liked best. This one did very well, so I tried it and I like the results. I have poured a bottle in the tank prior to every oil change recently.I also like Techron, because it seems to give me a smoother idle over each tank of gas. Redline seems to bring out the raw power of my engine though.I am not a mechanic, but it seems to work for me.

Quality remanufactured fuel injectors that are electronically tested for correct electrical resistance and for coil weakness. Good units are then disassembled (micro filter, seals, pintle caps and plastic spacer are removed.) Injectors are simultaneously cleaned in ultrasonic tanks specially designed to clean fuel injectors. All units are individually back flushed to remove the broken dirt particles, these particles can not be removed thru the injection orifices therefore are driven out thru the inlet of the injector. All injectors are then mounted on the flow bench in an inverted position to allow them to reverse flow at a considerable pressure. We run a high performance injector cleaning solvent thru the injectors for 30 minutes, completing the cleaning process. This process assures all dirt particles are completely removed from the injector. Injectors are now mounted on the flow bench in the correct position to begin the testing procedures. We apply 60 PIS of pressure (more than a regular multi-port fuel injection system) and maintain the injectors with no signal to them for 30 seconds to make sure there are no leaks. Depending on the original manufacturer presentation, the injectors are either painted or polished to give the best cosmetic appearance possible. Injectors are then assembled with new replaceable components (filter baskets, pintle caps, O-rings and seals) and a final test is performed with all new components on injectors. The purpose of this test is to make sure the filter basket; o-rings, seals and pintle caps are positioned correctly and are not disturbing the flow or the spray pattern of the injector. Injectors are lubricated with special oil and protective caps are placed on both ends to extend the shelf life and assure that when they are installed in the vehicle they will be in optimum operating condition. The best product you will ever buy!
I have a '92 Ford F-150 4.9L I6 with 135K on it. The idle was a little rough and the power was a little lack-luster, but that's really what I expected from a 13-year old truck. After a while, I started getting a knock that really impacted performance. The only way I could keep the knock at bay was to run 92 octane gas, which was really getting expensive. I went into the local auto parts store to look for some type of cleaner, when the employee said that Sea Foam would solve all my problems and told me that I could get my money back if it didn't. Very skeptical of his claims, I bought it anyhow to give it a try. With the engine hot I put the first 1/3 of the can into the large brake booster vacuum line slowly at first, then sucked as much in as quickly as possible until the engine stalled. I replaced the vacuum line and waited for about 15 minutes and started it up. It started a little hard at first being flooded with the Sea Foam, but while revving the gas, it soon ran very...

The ONLY Cleaner that Worked for Me
I have a 1999 Mercedes-Benz C230 that had ~144,000 miles on it. The idle was very rough and noisy, and the engine wasn't as smooth as it should have been in general, especially at lower engine speeds. The problem was so bad that the engine would almost stall at idle after first being started.I tried Lucas "Upper Cyclinder Lubricant and Injector Cleaner", and it didn't seem to help at all. Then I put a full 20-oz bottle of Chevron Techron through the fuel tank, and it also seemed to do nothing. In each case, the product was used as directed, and the car was driven until the fuel level was very low. That is, I didn't refill the fuel tank and dilute the product in either case. In the past, I've also used other brands of fuel system and fuel injector cleaners, including Gumout and STP. None of these products seemed to have the slightest effect.Finally, and extremely skeptical, I tried Sea Foam Motor Treatment. I put a full 16-oz bottle in the fuel tank...

Dont hesitate buy it! This really works
I was hesitant to buy this product since I had never heard of it but another member of the Suburban owners group recommended it and I tried it.WOW! Fantastic Product But Use Differently than Directed - 5 Stars !!!!
I have used Techron products for more than a decade and I could not be more pleased with the results. It is now my opinion that Techron is the only fuel injector additive that works. I have spoken with engineers both mechanical and chemical at our nation's car manufacturers, and they agree that this is the one to beat.This is what you really need to be aware of. You can buy Techron in stronger versions than the Pro-Gard offering you are seeing advertised here. It is more expensive, but it is also a better product than Pro-Gard. This version however can be used, but if you choose to use it, my suggestion is that you put two bottles at a time into your gas tank. You will then get the Techron active ingredient in about the same amount as the stronger version which is called Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner.Simply check out the price of the two different Techron products and then you can figure out at any given time which one to use based on costs. I have used this product before and think it is a good idea to use it for periodic maintenance. My only observation is that it is quite expensive on Amazon. I purchased a six pack from Costco for $13.99! Research elsewhere before making the purchase.

Every fuel injected engine needs some kind of additive to clean the injectors. This Chevron PRO-GARD is best of its kind and buying it in this six pack lowers the price to about $6 per 16oz. bottle (tax and shipping included). I use one 16 oz. bottle per vehicle yearly.
