Superb Car Stereo
I purchased this stereo because I wanted a car stereo with Bluetooth, a little extra power, better sound quality, and flash drive support. I'm happy to say that this stereo performs all these functions well.Installing the stereo is just like installing any other stereo, except for installing the microphone. The best spot for the microphone is probably the A pillar (at the top). It sounds complicated, but the microphone took about 15 min. to install. I ran the cable down through the rubber seal on the side of the door, but how you mount the microphone depends on your car.The Bluetooth works very well. What I start up the car, the radio automatically connects to my phone. Music through Bluetooth sounds pretty good, although it can be a little fizzy. Call quality is great; everyone can hear me well (they can even hear the person in the passenger seat), and everything sounds right. A stereo has died in my 10 year old car and I've started looking for replacement.This unit fit the bill perfectly. Although, I never heard about Dual brand, little i-net search revealed that it is quite sound; not a no-name Chinese garage built.This unit is very feature rich and, as far as I can tell, so far all of them work. Can't comment on iPod interface, as I use any/everything but iCrap.Bluetooth works like a charm - picks up my phone when I start the car and stay connected. I placed a microphone behind the steering wheel. People can hear me well (better than a headset I used before, and I can hear them perfectly through the speakers. Bluetooth music streaming (from the phone) works decently as well.USB port (a #1 selling point for me) works very fast and well.Disks play good.I'd say that the interface could be a bit more streamlined, but for the price, it's too much to ask.Display is a bit smaller than on most of modern units, but it has...

I purchased this Dual receiver because I wanted my phone to connect via bluetooth. Previously, I was using the aux/line in connector to connect my phone up to play audio and receive calls. The problem with this is that if you decided to switch the recevier over to CD or radio, any calls you receive on the phone go to... nowhere. With the bluetooth functionality, any incoming call mutes the other audio and plays the call over the speaker. I have tested this part of it, and it works well.One caveat: the included microphone has a clip that doesn't seem to clip to anything. I tried it all over the car: rearview mirror, air vents, plastic trim, nothing. I did finally get it to clip onto one of the air vents, but every time I touch it, it pops off. I will end up using a piece of double sided tape or velcro to fix this. I also tried it in my wife's car, a Ford Escape, with similar issues. very nice speakers
this is my 1st set of infinity speakers, and i really like the way they sound in the front doors with a set of infinity 629i 6-1/2 in the rear doors. they sound crystal clear at all volumes, with crisp highs, and they have more bass than i would expect. i don't find the highs to be harsh as i've read in a few of their reviews.... either way, they came a couple days after i ordered them, and i had them installed and i've been enjoying them ever since. i am very satisfied with the product, and the ordering/delivery process. thank you amazon!

The Kappa 60.9cs component speaker system features 6-1/2"" woofers with responsive woven glass-fiber cones that won't flex during a hard workout. The Plus One design offers a larger surface area for improved low-frequency output and efficiency, while longer voice coils add a little more punch to the bass. Large magnets keep the woofers running cooler by placing more steel close to the voice coils to act as a heat sink.

Infinity uses the same textile dome tweeters found in many of their popular home speakers with this Kappa system, so you'll hear the music the way it was recorded with minimal coloration or distortion. The tweeters handle down to 2,500 Hz, almost an octave below the tweeters in many systems, so you'll hear more definition and detail, no matter where you sit. Infinity includes mounting hardware to install the tweeters in custom or factory openings.

The computer-optimized outboard crossover networks employ audiophile-grade components to separate highs and lows, so that the woofer and tweeter work together perfectly. You can attenuate tweeter response by 6 dB to get the perfect sonic balance if you've mounted the tweeters in a less-than-ideal factory location.

Pre-wired crossovers eliminate a time-consuming step in your installation, and terminals at the end of the crossover wires screw directly to the Kappa woofers and tweeters, leaving no chance for incorrect wiring.

Built a system for my 2002 Yukon XL, I know, ok call it a Suburban. Room was an issue as I wanted no loss of utility in the vehicle, I found this was a compromise. Power is everything to obtain transparent sound that does not distort at even relatively high volumes. I chose the Alpine PDX-5 for three reasons 1) it had five channels at sufficiently high wattage 2) was very small and would fit under the left rear seat and 3) gossip was that although the specs quote at loose < 1% THD it would be clean. As far as amps go, IMHO there is no such thing as too much power because you only use what the volume requires, it is that simple. The Alpine is a good amp and my selection of speakers helped the amp a bunch.Chose two Infinity 60.9cs 2-way component systems sets with a pair in the front doors and a woofer in the rear door and its tweeter in the very back pillars.
