Convenient little cable
I'm fairly pleased with this little retractable cable. Fortunately, I had read the other reviews, so I was not surprised by the short length and it works for me. Some things you should know:* As other reviewers mention, this is not a 6' cable. The technical details have the correct 2.5' length, but the description is incorrect.* The retractor mechanism is a little cheap and I've gotten it tangled a couple of times. That being said, I've always been able to untangle it and it has recovered.* The rubber around the plug ends is a good size for iPods and most stereo inputs, but it is too wide for the audio jack in an iPhone. I took a sharp knife to one end of the cable and shaved down the sides, then it worked fine even for the recessed iPhone jack. This wasn't too hard to do, though that cable end doesn't look too pretty now.In spite of these reservations, the cable works well, the audio quality seems fine, and it is small, convenient, and nicely...

USB Interface Cable
This cable allows me to use USB Flash cards, sticks etc.. to play music from my PC or MAC. I just drag the songs I want to play in my car from my computer to the USB Flash device then insert the USB Flash drive into the cable device in the glove box. My media system recognizes the media interface and the song folders appear on the screen. I use a 32 GB Flash card. The HD in my vehicle is on 6 GB, so it's a big value to have this new feature.

UCI USB Cable for Mercedes
The cable functions correctly, but the angled head (the cable comes out of the connector to the left when viewed plugged in) makes it difficult to close the glove box. I have to put pressure on the cable to close the glove box, which puts torque on the connector which could cause damage. The vendor was quick to respond to questions, but unfortunately their answer was that they don't have a cable that goes straight out or to the right of the connector. I'll continue to look for a replacement, but I'll use this in the meantime. This was purchased for a 2010 E63.

Sometimes complex problems can have very simple solutions. This product proved to be such a solution for my problem.I have an earlier model of Bose SoundDock which works only with iPods and does not have an input for an external device. When I needed a small but good quality sound system to go with my DLP projector, my best option seemed like going for another Bose or JBL iPod dock with an external input connection, which seemed like a waste of money. And then I came across this product in Amazon. There were only two reviews for this product at the time, and both were favourable. I took a chance and ordered it.The product arrived earlier than the expected delivery date, and was in perfect condition. Car Ground Loop Noise Begone!
My 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid had terrible problem with ground loop noise. It was unbearable that when I play music through the Aux jack while having the charger plugged in (any devices). There were "weeeezing" noises that drowned the music. I had to unplug my devices from the charger if I wanted to listen to clear music. This Kensington Noise Reducing device works wonder. 100% of the noise was gone. I hear no trace of ground loop noise playing music while charging my devices! The length of the cable is plenty for me. Well worth the money!

Does what it claims, if you hear hissing or feedback when running your iPod (or, I presume, any other audio device) through your aux jack this should clear it up. In my case I use a Kensington LiquidAux running into a cassette adapter (my car predates aux jacks). I listen mainly to audiobooks and had an issue with clipping and distortion of the spoken high frequencies. Once I installed this between the cassette adapter and the LiquidAux, the problem disappeared. I also like the braided cord better than the usual plastic/vinyl cord you see, it feels sturdier.The only thing I would change is the length of the cord. I chose this device over the competing product by Griffin because the cord was 2' shorter - and even the 4' cord of this device is overkill for my setup. I have about 3' of extra cord coiled up inside my console. Of course depending on your situation maybe you need the extra cord, but I didn't.
