Cleanest look & styling, but NOT FOR SERIOUS OFF-ROAD USE
These are by far the best looking of any aftermarket fender flares for the XJ Jeep Cherokee.They do require that you trim some metal away from the wheel well opening. This requires some finesse that is best achieved using a metal cutting blade on a Dremel tool. Though it is slower that power shears or a larger 4-5" cut-off blade, it allows for precise trimming. It also does not bend or crimp the sheet metal like the shears do.The installation goes best when the wheels are off of the vehicle, as it allows you to work with additional space behind the fender panel. In order to use the factory fender well liner, you'll have to do some trimming and create some holes for the retainer snaps.These will work on the newer year XJ Cherokees, but you'll have to remove or modify the rear bumper end caps (trim pieces). This wasn't an issue with me, as I already have an aftermarket bumper and removed those a long time ago.The rear wheel wells...

The only aftermarket fender flare solution!
These fender flares look awesome on the XJ, and perform just as good. This is the 3rd set of these flares i've owned. They fit the bill for aftermarket rims and larger tires. You can easily fit 33x12.50's with 5" of lift with these flares. They can be a pain to put on if the stock fenders have been trimed, as the reference points may not be there, but they do look awesome and they are tough. Only complaint is they do get a little brittle in subzero temperatures in the winter time (think annual christmas tree hunt!). Well worth the money.

Fender Flares
The Bushwacker fender flares look and work great. It takes quite a bit of effort to install them, but very well worth it, so plan to put in some time installing them.

Good but expensive
I did not purchase this on amazon as it was too $. I got it for much less and there is a $50 rebate at the time as well. Installation was done with a drill, angle grinder, some basic hand tools and a good 4-5 hours of work. The instructions provided are VERY good. We're talking color instructions that span over 20 pages, so it's very detailed and well put together in that regard.I can't vouch for the durability of the product just yet, but if you are just mall-crawling this will work to keep the mud/snow/water off your truck with MTRs. they remove a lot of material fore and aft of the fender and maybe only 1/2 to 1" from the top of the fender. You will cut up SOME of the pinch seams in the rear but not much. I purchased underbody coating to spray the areas I trimmed and/or cut.the installation reuses the factory holes as mounting and guide points. If you've already cut up your fenders then these won't work for you.They seem fairly strong but...
